MasterStep Study ("MasterStep Study", "we", "us", or "our") is an educational application that provides study notes, practice materials, saved-paper features, learning progress features, and optional premium subscriptions.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we may collect when you use MasterStep Study, how we use it, when it may be shared, and the choices available to you.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create or use an account, we may collect:

• Your name
• Your email address
• An internal user or account identifier

We use this information to create and manage your account, authenticate you, save your progress, and provide features associated with your account.

Subscription and Purchase Information

MasterStep Study offers optional subscriptions through Apple In-App Purchase. Payments are processed by Apple. We do not receive or store your full credit card or debit card number.

We use RevenueCat to help manage subscription status and premium entitlements. RevenueCat may process information such as:

• An app user identifier
• Subscription or purchase history
• Product identifiers
• Entitlement status
• Transaction and renewal information necessary to provide subscription functionality

This information is used to confirm purchases, restore purchases, determine whether premium features should be available, prevent fraud, and manage subscription functionality.

User Content

If you use features that allow you to upload or share study resources, we may collect:

• Uploaded files
• Resource titles
• Descriptions
• Subject or category information
• Upload type
• The account identifier associated with the upload

If you choose to share content in a community or public area of MasterStep Study, that content and related attribution information may be visible to other users. Please do not upload personal information that you do not want other users to see.

Saved Content and Learning Progress

To provide study functionality, we may store information such as:

• Saved papers or resources
• Completion status
• Notes viewed
• Questions attempted
• Other study-progress information

Technical and Usage Information

Our servers and service providers may process limited technical information necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service. This may include:

• IP address
• Device, browser, operating-system, or app-version information
• Request timestamps
• Error, security, or diagnostic information

We do not intend to collect more technical information than is reasonably necessary to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Service.

2. How We Use Information

We may use information collected through MasterStep Study to:

• Create, authenticate, and manage user accounts
• Provide study notes, papers, questions, progress tracking, and saved-content features
• Process and verify subscription status and premium access
• Restore purchases
• Maintain and improve the reliability, security, and performance of the Service
• Respond to support requests
• Prevent fraud, abuse, or misuse of the Service
• Moderate or manage user-submitted content where applicable
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms and policies

We do not use your payment-card details because those details are handled by Apple and are not provided to us.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

Apple

Apple processes payments for subscriptions purchased through the App Store. Apple's handling of payment and Apple Account information is governed by Apple's own privacy policies and terms.

RevenueCat

We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions, purchase validation, subscription status, and premium entitlements. RevenueCat may process app user identifiers and purchase or subscription information as described above.

Hosting, Database, and Infrastructure Providers

We may use hosting, database, storage, security, and infrastructure providers to operate the Service. These providers may process information as necessary to provide their services to us.

4. User-Generated and Community Content

If MasterStep Study allows users to submit or share resources with other users, information contained in those submissions may become visible to others.

You are responsible for ensuring that content you upload does not contain personal information you do not have the right to share.

We may review, restrict, remove, or retain user-submitted content when reasonably necessary to operate the Service, respond to reports, enforce our rules, protect users, or comply with legal obligations.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including providing the Service, maintaining security, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and complying with applicable legal obligations.

When an account is deleted, we will delete or anonymize personal information associated with that account where reasonably possible and where retention is not required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or other legitimate purposes.

Some information may remain for a limited period in backups or logs before being securely deleted through normal system processes.

6. Account and Data Deletion

MasterStep Study provides an account-deletion option within the app.

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information through the account or profile settings in the app.

Deleting your MasterStep Study account does not automatically cancel an active App Store subscription. App Store subscriptions are managed by Apple. If you have an active MasterStep Study subscription, you should manage or cancel it through your Apple subscription settings.

We may retain limited information after account deletion where required or permitted by applicable law, or where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. However, no method of internet transmission, electronic storage, or information-security system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. International Data Processing

Depending on the location of our service providers and infrastructure, your information may be processed in countries or regions other than the one where you live.

Where required by applicable law, we take reasonable steps to use appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal information.

9. Children's Privacy

MasterStep Study is an educational service and may be used by students, including minors.

We take additional care when handling personal information relating to younger users. We do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal information from children in a manner prohibited by applicable law.

Where applicable law requires parental or guardian consent or other protections for a child's personal information, the user and their parent or guardian should ensure those requirements are satisfied before providing personal information to the Service.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a child has provided personal information through MasterStep Study in violation of applicable law, please contact us. We will review the request and take appropriate steps, including deletion where required.

10. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights including the right to:

• Request access to personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account or personal information
